About the Curator

MARK KATZMAN began collecting photogravures in 1998. Since that time he has traveled extensively to museums, ateliers and photographer's studios to view examples of plates and learn about the process. Intrigued by its history, Mark realized the need for a comprehensive resource to foster interest in and appreciation of photogravure.

Mark continues to collect plates and study the technique's history with the intention of assembling a traveling exhibit and publishing a book.
